Basically, Amazon Associates promote products for sale and earn a commission for any sales generated. All you need to do is sign up at their site, create links for the things you want to buy, and make purchases through your own links. Since you have to buy gifts, why not make some money back in commission?


3.Let PromotionalCodes.com make your shopping painless
This place has discount codes from most websites that you'll need to buy gifts. If it's not here then the code does not exist. All major retailers are connected to PromotionalCodes. A must see for your shopping this year.


4.Use FatWallet.com for Cash Back
You should use FatWallet.com and earn cash back between 1% and 20%. It's very similar to using debit card or credit card with cash back. The money is added to your FatWallet account, and is redeemable when you've reached a $10 minimum.

5.Comparison Shop with PriceGrabber.com
Go to PriceGrabber.com, and enter in the product name and then compare prices. You'll see several retailers offering your item for sale, as well as the prices. Due to pressures facing the banking industry, Goldman Sachs Group Inc. top executives have decided not accept multi-million dollar bonuses. I mean they were going to be compensated with payments equivalent to the operating budget of a mid-sized city. Several banks have already laid off major portions of their workforce, including the 3,200 employees Goldman recently fired.Due to the potential negative publicity, I guess top executives felt it would be inappropriate to accept more money given current economic conditions. Now if we could only get more companies to make good decision like this...

In a time when financial news just seems to get worse with each day, I read an article that provides a little hope for some. For individuals that have been skilled at managing their credit, they may see an increase in their FICO score. Fair Isaac, the company responsible for calculating our consumer credit ratings for lenders, has announced that is going to use a new formula, which promises to favor responsible credit holders.

• Please understand that paying off a collection account will not remove it from your credit report. Many people aren't aware of this.
• If you are having trouble making ends meet, contact your creditors or see a legitimate credit counselor.They aren't as scary as many think.
  

Finally some good news for homeowners

I was reading in the news that Webster Bank, N.A. is actually planning to have a 90-day moratorium on home foreclosures for homeowners that are more than 30 days behind on their mortgage. In addition, they will offer mortgage assistance programs with the objective of keeping people in their home and working out alternative payment plans that are more flexible for their clients. This program sounds like a good idea to me, but there are a few catches:

1. Borrowers must occupy the home as their principal residence.
2. Make an effort to stay current on their alternative payment mortgage.
3. Provide evidence of income that's adequate enough to support alternative mortgage payments.

Another interesting thing to note is Webster also handles mortgages owned by other creditors, so are planning to contact many creditors on behalf of homeowners to see if they would consider foreclosure prevention or mortgage assistance programs for their customers.
