Due to pressures facing the banking industry, Goldman Sachs Group Inc. top executives have decided not accept multi-million dollar bonuses. I mean they were going to be compensated with payments equivalent to the operating budget of a mid-sized city. Several banks have already laid off major portions of their workforce, including the 3,200 employees Goldman recently fired.Due to the potential negative publicity, I guess top executives felt it would be inappropriate to accept more money given current economic conditions. Now if we could only get more companies to make good decision like this...
